Residence visas

The visa is what turns a licence into a life here.

A trade licence lets you invoice. The residence visa is what gives you the Emirates ID, the bank account, the tenancy in your own name, the school place and the driving licence. It is also the step where a missing attestation or a mistyped name costs weeks, because every later document copies the first one.

We prepare the file, book the medical, handle the biometrics appointment and follow the application through the immigration authority until the Emirates ID is issued. Then we do the same for your spouse, your children and your employees.

How a visa file runs

  1. Eligibility

Your licence, its visa quota and the documents each applicant will need, checked before anything is filed.

  2. Entry permit

Application filed and issued, with the status change arranged if you are already in the UAE.

  3. Medical and biometrics

Appointments booked and attended. This is the part that needs you physically in Dubai.

  4. Emirates ID and stamping

Residence issued and the Emirates ID delivered, then the same sequence for family and staff.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How long does a residence visa take?
Two to four weeks in most cases once the company licence and establishment card are in place. The entry permit comes first, then the medical and biometrics, then the Emirates ID and the residence stamp. Delays usually come from missing attested documents rather than from the authority.
How many visas can my company sponsor?
The quota depends on the licence and, in many free zones, on the office space you hold: a flexi-desk typically carries one to three, a physical office more. We confirm your quota before you hire, and where you need more we tell you what upgrading the package would cost.
Can I sponsor my wife and children?
Yes, once your own residence visa and Emirates ID are issued and you meet the income threshold for family sponsorship. You will need an attested marriage certificate and attested birth certificates. We check those requirements at the start, because attestation is done in your home country.
Do I have to stay in the UAE?
No, but a residence visa lapses if you remain outside the UAE for more than six consecutive months. Golden Visa holders are not subject to that rule. We track expiry and re-entry dates for the files we manage and flag them before they become a problem.
